Mary Riggs Cohen, Ph.D., Director
Dr. Mary Cohen has twenty four years of experience working with children,
adolescents and their families. She has been working in the field of autism
for eight years and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of
Asperger's Syndrome. At present, she runs five social skills groups for
children and adolescents with Asperger's and High Functioning Autism.
Dr. Cohen received her doctoral training at the Catholic University of America.
She received postdoctoral family therapy training at the Philadelphia
Child Guidance Center. Dr. Cohen is a consultant to several school
districts and addresses the special programming needs of AS students.
She is a licensed psychologist.
Steven B. Glazier, M.A.
Mr. Glazier is a licensed psychologist who has been working with
children, adolescents and adults with special needs for the past
20 years. Since 1995, he has been in private practice, specializing
in treating children with autistic spectrum disorders. He is co-chair
of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Interdisciplinary Council on
Developmental and Learning Disorders and serves on the Philadelphia
Preschool Early Intervention Autism Advisory Board. Mr. Glazier
consults with local school districts and early intervention providers
and he provides direct treatment and training to parents and professionals.
Mr. Glazier holds a master's degree in Clinical Psychology and
he has received advanced training from the developers of the D.I.R.
(Floor Time) Model.
Mr. Glazier now has office hours at the Center on Wednesday

Heather Leiser, M.S.
Heather Leiser has an MS in Counseling Psychology from Chestnut
Hill College. She has five years of experience working with children
with autism spectrum disorders. Heather runs social skills groups
for children and adolescents.
