Jane Melchiondo - M.S. in Counseling Psychology, 10 yrs
professional experience working with children with special needs,
specializing in early intervention for children with autism spectrum
disorders. Trained in Dr. Stanley Greenspan's D.I.R / Floor-time
model of therapy.
Workshop includes:
- What is the DIR / Floor-time model of therapy
- Developmental Model vs. ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis)
- Learning about your child's individual differences
- Individual differences and the importance of Sensory Integration
- Play interventions / Floor-time
- Videos
- Questions and discussion / light refreshments
